COMPETING MODELS:
Competition will be open to 1965 and later models of American passenger hardtop sedans and full-size pick-up trucks. No wagons or convertibles. 1993 and newer Camero and Firebird not permitted.

BODY SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Must be of steel stock and frame.
2. Must have stock contours.
3. Must have front and rear firewalls. Firewalls must be completely sealed.
4. Fenders and quarters may be altered for tire clearance. Must have bumpers mounted in stock locations. May use aftermarket parts.
5. Hood and deck lid must have positive-type fasteners. Inner body panels may be removed.
6. Doors must be welded or bolted shut.
7. Headlight and taillight openings must be covered.
8. Interior may be boxed.
9. Door skins, hood, and trunk may be replaced with sheet metal.
10. Fiberglass hoods are allowed.
11. Trunk floor may be removed.

OVERALL CAR WEIGHT:
1. 3,200 lbs. with driver (55% left side maximum) / See Engine Rules and Transmission Rules.

SPOILERS:
1. Front spoilers must not extend past front bumper.
2. Rear spoiler cannot be wider than trunk lid. Maximum height of 5". No lips or bends allowed.

GLASS:
1. Must use lexan for front and rear windows. No glass allowed on car.
2. Only mirror allowed is inside of car.

DASHBOARD:
1. All cars may run complete dash or similar design out of 20 gauge sheet metal or aluminum.

IDENTIFICATION AND MARKING:
1. Numbers must be at least 18" high and on both sides of car on center of door. A number 24" tall must be on roof, reading from passenger side. 4" legible numbers must be on front and rear of car. Color of number must contrast with body color. No reflective numbers allowed.

CHASSIS AND STEERING:
1. Any OEM frame or sub-frame may be used. No tubular frames.
2. Frame connectors are allowed on uni-body cars.
3. Wheel Base 108" minimum with 1" tolerance.
4. Sway bars are allowed.
5. Lower control arms must be of same manufacturer. (Example: GM and Chrysler) However, parts can not be altered to fit. Upper A-frames may be replaced with tubular style or shortened and welded.
6. One shock per wheel, outboard mounting allowed.
7. No coil-overs or air-shocks allowed.
8. No aluminum shocks/ welded ball shocks only.
9. Maximum tread width 76" contact patch to contact patch.
10. Brakes must be factory for manufacturer (Example: GM and Chrysler).
11. Jack bolts allowed.
12. Minimum frame height 5". with driver
13. Spindles must be factory for manufacturer. (Example: GM and Chrysler).

REAR SUSPENSION:
1. Coil or leaf suspensions may be used. No Heim joints.
2. No quick change rear-ends allowed.
3. 9" Ford rear-ends allowed. Floaters allowed solid axles only
4. Rear suspension and frame must be OEM, although you will be allowed to use a Ford 9" rearend. No Heim joints.
5. Suspension mounting areas must be stock for model run.
6. Panhard bar not permitted unless it is a factory part on frame being run.

ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS:
1. Engine block and heads must be cast iron.
2. Casting numbers must be legible on block and heads.
3. No big block engines allowed.
4. Engine displacement will be limited to 361 c.i.d. except Chrysler, which will be limited to 368 c.i.d.
5. No part of piston may rise above the deck of the block.
6. No roller cam shafts. Any flat tappet allowed.
7. Number 1 spark plug may not be positioned behind top balljoint.
8. Any internal modifications allowed.
9. Aluminum intake manifolds are allowed. No turtles or flow devices in intake.
10. GM Part # 602 Crate Motor with MSD 6 AL – Any 4-barrel carburetor may be used. Subtract 200 lbs.

ENGINE/CAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS:
1. Only factory electrical systems allowed. Standard or electronic permitted.
2. No MSD boxes or amplifiers allowed.
3. Battery must be securely mounted. If mounted in drivers compartment, battery must be inside box.
4. A master cut-off switch must be mounted inside car on drivers side of dash, reachable from driver and outside window.

FUEL SYSTEM:
1. Fuel cell with foam is required and installed in a steel case.
2. Ball-type rollover valve must be installed in tank fill and vent lines or cell may use a positive sealing fill cap.
3. All vent lines must have check valve and exit body at left rear corner of vehicle.
4. Fuel must not exit bottom of fuel cell.
5. Fuel cell must bolt directly to frame structure using 1" x 1" 6. square tubing and 1/8" x 1-1/2" steel strap.
6. No electrical fuel pumps are allowed.
7. Any fuel lines passing through driver's compartment must be enclosed in steel conduit or made of steel braided line.
8. Must use stock Holley 4412 carburetor. No modifications allowed. Can remove choke butterfly and choke mechanism.
Gasoline will be only fuel used. No additives, Nitrous Oxide, or other fuel enhancers allowed.
9. Clearance from bottom of fuel cell to ground is 8".
10. Maximum 1" spacer allowed for carburetor.

ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM:
1. Any type fans permitted.
2. Aftermarket pulleys permitted.
3. Radiator overflow hoses must route to 32oz (1 qt.) catch can and exit body at right corner of car window.

EXHAUST ASSEMBLY:
1. Exhaust headers with a maximum collector diameter of 3-1/2" allowed Pipe must exit behind driver.

TRANSMISSION AND CLUTCH:
1. Manual transmission must use steel bell housing or shield factory size.
2. Automatic transmission must install a protective shield or blanket under floorpan.
3. Factory OEM transmission only. No 5 speeds allowed.
4. After market transmission and clutch may be used no internal clutch transmissions allowed.
5. Transmission coolers are allowed.

DRIVE SHAFT:
1. Only steel drive shafts, minimum sizes 2-3/4". Shaft must be painted white.
2. Two 360° drive shaft loops of 1/4" thick and 2" wide steel required located 6" - 12" from each universal joint.

WHEELS:
1. Maximum width 8". Spacers must be 1" or less.
2. Lug nuts must be minimum 1" wrench size. Wheel studs must protrude through lug nut.

TIRES:
1. Goodyear racing tires will be used by all Hobby Stocks. D-2663 D-2462.
2. No pressure relief valves permitted.

SAFETY:
1. Roll cages, 1-3/4" x .090 or 1-1/2" x .125. No water pipe. No exhaust tubing.
2. Aluminum race seat required. 5-point seat belts required. 3. 3. 3. Window net must release from top with seatbelt type release.
3. Fire extinguisher, fully charged, is required. Must be positioned in reach of driver.
4. A helmet meeting SNELL 95 specs is required.
5. A full fire suit meeting SFI specs required. One-piece or two-piece is allowed. Gloves and boots are required. Tennis shoes are not allowed.
6. All ballasts must be solid and bolted to the car frame with minimum 3/8" bolts.
7. All car ballasts must be painted white with the car number painted or stamped on block.

INSPECTION:
1. All cars must meet minimum technical and safety inspections as required.
2. The top 3 cars, or as deemed by tech officials, MUST stop at the designated tech area for minimum inspection. Any driver not presenting their car for inspection will be immediately disqualified.
3. Driver with car will be the only person allowed in the tech area.
4. Tech Officials may request additional cars for inspection as requested and deemed necessary.
5. Any driver refusing, or not complying with inspection requests will be immediately disqualified.
6. Any car found not in compliance will be immediately disqualified. Disqualification will result in loss of points, awards and money.

POINTS:
1. Points will be awarded to driver. No points will be awarded to car owner.
2. Drivers must have their registered number on car raced, in order to receive points. Cars not displaying their registered number will not be awarded points.

NOTICE:
Anything not covered in these rules must have approval from Ona Speedway Official Tech
Inspector. Rules and weight may be altered to promote better competition.

The above rules are set to provide for the orderly conduct of all racing programs at Ona Speedway. They are intended as a guideline and are in NO way a guarantee against injury or death of its participants. Anything not covered should be checked with officials before proceeding. Rules may be changed at any time for the good sport of racing. Any interpretation or deviation of the rules will be left to the decision of the officials whose decision is Final.
